The annual Planting Day at the Northville Farm Heritage Centre occurred on May 13, drawing a small crowd of spectators to watch as farmers showcased various old-fashioned methods of planting crops.
Under sunny skies, horses and oxen helped till the agricultural land at the Billtown property, where grain was planted. Antique tractors were also deployed.
The Northville Farm Heritage Centre is dedicated to showcasing past farming methods. Admission to the annual event was a free will offering.
