More aggressive discs for new Agriweld Min

Tillage equipment manufacturer Agriweld has revised the design of its Min-Disc low surface disturbance subsoiler.

The implement now sports a more aggressive row of serrated discs at the front to clear trash from the path of the soil-lifting tines and has an additional row of the same discs behind the tines for shallow cultivation.

To help compensate for the increased weight, the Agripacker ribbed roller at the back is now lifted by a hydraulic cylinder and secured in place in a high and further forwards transport position that reduces the overhang during transport.

This change also means the implement now has hydraulic depth adjustment when in work.

There are no side plates to contain soil thrown up by the discs; instead, the outer discs are angled inwards.

Agriweld’s slim subsoiling legs are spaced 500mm apart and are equipped with replaceable shins, points and wing sections that are designed to lift the soil so that it shatters upon settling back down, but with minimal heave or disturbance at the surface.

Conventional shear-bolt leg protection has been introduced as a lower-cost alternative to the company’s triple-use Snap-Bar design and hydraulic breakaway and reset system.

Available in 2.5m, 3m, 4m and 6m sizes, with prices starting at £20,895, the Min-Disc will be demonstrated at this year’s Cereals Event.
